2015 Barolo D.O.C.G.
south and southwest
METHOD OF CULTIVATION
4,500 vines per hectare
up to 8 t/he
Fermentation occurs in small stainless steel tubs with a temperature between 77-81°F, after which the grapes macerate more than ten days, allowing for the balanced extraction of tannins, antioxidants, and polyphenols necessary for a wine capable of getting better with age. Aged in 5000 Liter Slavonic oak casks and a 225 Liter Barrique for two years.
4.5 grams per liter
The geographic area of the Nebbiolo grapes of this structured and persistent Barolo are limited to the town of Barolo and ten other nearby communities. Elegant and refined, this wine is pleasantly tannic and structured with hints of berries, licorice, and coffee.
65-68 degrees Fahrenheit (18-20 degrees Celsius)
Though Barolo is often enjoyed as a tasting wine on it's own, it pairs well with heavier meat and can also accompany dessert pastries.
